OSCA is committed to providing our student members with target professional learning opportunities that meet the unique needs of school counselor graduate students. In addition to having access to our virtual professional development sessions, Student Members also have access to participate in the sessions below. Registration for each session is limited to 95 live registrants. Recordings of sessions will be available in the OSCA PD Archives page, which is only accessible to members.
Please note that the sessions offered below are available to OSCA student members only. If you wish to participate, you are encouraged to join OSCA and access our webinars and archives at no cost.

This session is presented to graduate students planning to enter the school counseling profession soon. The presentation will cover a range of topics to help you be ready to land your first school counseling position. Topics covered will include the OAE, licensure, where to search for open positions, resumes, preparing for interviews and other helpful information.

This session is presented to graduate students who will soon be entering their first position as a school counselor. This session is also helpful for those preparing for internship as many of the recommendations are the same. The presentation will cover a range of topics to help you survive and thrive the first year. Topics covered will include working with admin, getting to know students, advocating for your role, setting up your office and more.
