Not only does one need to meet these qualifications to run for the Board of Directors, but one must maintain these qualifiecations throughout their term. This should be taken into consideration when deciding whether to submit a nomination (i.e. you plan to retire sometime during the term).
Interested persons are encouraged to submit their nomination when the call for candidates is sent out each fall. The board is a representative body of the membership and cannot exist without the support of strong leaders.
