Presenter: Dr. Britnee Weatherspoon / National Cadre Trainer, Dove Self-Esteem Project

Description: This interactive session equips school counselors to implement the Dove Self-Esteem Project’s Confident Me! program within a comprehensive school counseling framework. Grounded in global research on adolescent body confidence, participants will explore how appearance pressures and media influence affect engagement, confidence, and belonging. Practical strategies will be shared to integrate body confidence education across Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 supports.

Presenter InformationDr. Britnee Weatherspoon is a nationally recognized school wellness leader, public health educator, and certified National Cadre Trainer with the Dove Self-Esteem Project. With more than a decade of experience advancing student well-being, health equity, and whole-child initiatives, she has led impactful work across K–12 education, higher education, healthcare, and community systems. Dr. Weatherspoon specializes in body confidence education, social-emotional learning integration, and Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) implementation. She holds a Doctor of Education in Health and Physical Activity and a Master’s degree in Educational Studies. Dr. Weatherspoon is known for translating research into practical, culturally responsive strategies that educators and school mental health professionals can implement immediately. Her work centers on creating safe, inclusive learning environments where all students feel seen, valued, and empowered to reach their full potential.

Additional Information: Pre-registration is required and will be open through the end of the day on October 6. A Zoom meeting link will be emailed out to all registrants the day before the workshop. A CE certificate will be emailed to those in attendance after the event.
