Successfully Transitioning to a New School Counseling Role
Presenter: Katie Gastaldo / Lakeview Local School Counselor
Description: It can be both exciting and overwhelming to step into a new school counseling role. This session is intended for individuals preparing for their first school counseling job or transitioning to a new position. The presenter will share experiences from working in five different school districts across Ohio and Virginia, and share evidence-based best practices for career transitions.
Presenter Information: Katie Gastaldo has been working as a school counselor for the past ten years, primarily with students in grades K-8. During this time she has relocated frequently to support her husband’s career and has worked in five different school districts across the state of Ohio and in Fairfax, Virginia.
