Building Executive Function Skills through Games

Description: Being able to have flexible thinking, self-control, self-regulation, focus, and other executive functioning skills are imperative to facilitating student learning. These skills need to be nurtured, developed and practiced. Learn how to incorporate games into your school counseling program to promote executive functioning skill building.

Presenter Information: Rebecca Chambers-Arway is a K-12 Counselor at Polo R-VII Schools located in Missouri. Rebecca served as the 2019-2020 Northwest Missouri School Counselor Association President as well as served as a member of the Missouri School Counselor Association Board of Directors since 2018. Chambers-Arway was the 2016 NWMSCA Multi-Level School Counselor of the Year recipient and the 2016-17 MSCA Multi-Level School Counselor of the Year award winner. Rebecca has presented workshops annually at the Missouri School Counselor Association Fall Conference and has presented at the Missouri Association of Elementary School Principals as well as the Missouri Association of Secondary School Principals. In her spare time, she enjoys spending it with her family!

Additional Information: Pre-registration is required and will be open through the end of the day on April 9. A Zoom meeting link will be emailed out to all registrants the day before the workshop. A CE certificate will be emailed to those in attendance after the event.

The workshop is free to OSCA members and $10 for non-members. Please note that non-members who still have an outstanding balance will not be provided with a CE certificate.
