City Connects School Counselor (Full-Time) - Chaminade Julienne Catholic High School seeks a full time City Connects School Counselor for the 2018-19 school year. The mission of a school counselor under the City Connects at CJ model is to help students engage and learn in school by connecting each student with a tailored set of prevention, intervention and enrichment services they need to thrive. City Connects, a partnership between Boston Connects and Chaminade Julienne Catholic High School, is a comprehensive model of student support that is aligned with the teaching and learning agenda of the school. This model is deeply aligned with ASCA National Standards and emphasizes the importance of counselors acting as a hub for all student support activities. Counselors assess each student and then connect students to needed resources inside and outside of school that help promote students’ academic success and life changes. Counselors are actively committed to eliminating obstacles to learning and achievement.
Degree Requirements: Master’s degree in School Counseling; additional degree in Mental Health Counseling or Social Work preferred.
